Klutzy is a free iOS app that plays a sound the instant your phone is dropped — a falling sound on the way down, an impact sound at landing — and can also react to motion gestures you record yourself.

Why did guarding stop? iOS stops every app on force-quit or restart, so Klutzy can't keep listening after that — just reopen the app and arm it again.
Why does it play over the mute switch? Only when you turn on "Ignore silent mode." That setting uses iOS background audio, which is the same mechanism that plays over the mute switch — the two can't be separated. Leave it off and Klutzy respects your mute switch and guards only while the app is open.
How do I get my purchase back on a new phone? Settings → Restore Purchases (sign in with the same Apple Account).
